"Schramm bakery is headquartered in the nearby village of Chemnitz. The owner is Renè Buschmann and is the grandson of the founder of the bakery, who has existed since 1904. In addition to the main business there are several other branches, as well as with sales cars, the entire environment is shut down from Freiberg to the Czech border. A blessing for the inhabitants of the many small places that no longer have business there. Since 2019, Rechenberg-Bienenmühle has even opened a bakery shop with café, open daily except Monday. The baked goods taste excellent and the service in the café is very friendly. Here you can feel comfortable and enjoy the time with fresh brewed coffee and the good cake."

"If you're going through Holzhau, you'll see the signs of the Barbarin restaurant. We were wondering where this restaurant could be. Until we accidentally discovered it. Since the acquisition by new owners or the restaurant at Hotel Talblick has its own name. As you can read in the restaurant, the barbarians are remembered by Barbara Uthmann. This woman was the daughter of the co-founder of the town of Annaberg in the Erzgebirge. The restaurant is typical of the mountain with a lot of wood, also some walls are covered with it. For overloaded decoration with the popular smokers and nutcrackers, swallows and pyramids was gratefully dispensed with. Instead, there are lonely works and some beautiful carvings to see, including a figure of the namemaker B. Uthmann. We often want to be here as a good lunch, except on Sunday it is always open from 3 pm, so lunch table is available. One evening we made it to Holzhau. Friendlyly greeted by a nice waitress we got places assigned. Some were reserved for hotel guests, then the restaurant filled almost to the last place. Drinks were served quickly, with the food we didn't have it so eager. My husband must always try Soljanka. Here she stood on the map and it tasted excellent. I also had a cream of pipes. As the main course we chose cheese-speakle pan and zander fillet, which in Barbarins is somewhat unusually rich with black root and sweet potato puree. Tastefully immaculate and a new discovery what you can eat. Two more espresso and a little ice cream for me. This has cost everything wonderful, the price for everything was almost 50 € for 2 people. All right. In the afternoon of 15 you will get coffee and cake as well as some small vasper offers such as stew, sulfite or sausage, as the service on request explains to us. Who comes here should be on foot. From Holzhau Train Station you can reach the valley view. Of course, it is also possible to travel by car, there are many parking spaces right next to the hotel."
