"We love going to weds trivia as often as we can ! As a working couple , we often have dinner here so we can get to the club in time for the start of Mike Van Ackers excellent quiz. We order on or before 6.30 every time we come and wait until 7.45 pm before our buzzer alerts us to fetch our dinner from the servery! This happens every week religiously ! Can it really take anHour and 15 mins to produce fried food ??! The food is cheap , and so it should be! it's mostly overcooked, thrown together , and occasionally looks like it has been run over by a golf buggy before we get it ! We've tried the "specials" but they are so "special" we gave up , as they are variously Finished or look like they have been thrown on the plate from a great distance ! We return time and again to " something and chips" as we feel that even this kitchen can't ruin fried food .. shame we have to wait so long !"

"We arrived for weekday lunch. It was so nice to be in air-conditioning on a hot day. We received a friendly greeting as soon as we walked in, and there was chilled table water on tap. Our coffees were beautifully made and my eggs benny...with salmon was the best I have had in a very long time. It was all perfectly cooked and presented. My partner had the Frittata with salmon and said it was freshly cooked and so yummy. Overall, we had a great dining experience and will certainly go back again. Could not fault anything."

"It's pretty common when a place has a captive audience they under perform. We went to coochiemudlo island for a brief visit for a friends birthday. The place should be a sub tropical island paradise but it's a dump.She had picked out this place based on reviews here. When we arrived it smelled badly of fish. The prices would have been ok except any take away drink came with a $1 extra charge for some reason. That made the coffee and milkshake a bit dear. Oh well ok.Then the drinks came out. Coffee was rubbish, but the milk shake! It was about 1/3 normal size. Absolute joke.The cafe is for sale so maybe the owners have lost interest.Anyway we won't be back, to the island or the cafe. Awful..."

"An older resort that is being looked after well by the current staff. Very good customer service, friendly bar staff. Don 't expect to be staying at the Hilton, as I 'm sure most can work out from the price. Good family getaway not to far from Brisbane. Continental breakfast was as expected very basic, after reading some of the other reviews I 'm not sure what some people expect from a 'continental breakfast '. Very nice stay."

"Went a few times here for Sunday Brekkie with my partner and with friends. Eggs Benny for $9.90 - good portion, generous amount of sauce Hollandaise, nicely decorated. Great coffee too. Love the atmosphere."

"We went down to the water to send the morning watching the boats go in out when we discovered this little treasure. We thought Fish chips by the water what a great way to spend the morning so after going in and seeing...all the memorability around the place we ordered the food. It was cooked to perfection Chips hot crunchy in clean oil The fish was crispy mine was grilled perfectly. We plan on visiting next time we are down that way."

"Great place - you can sit outside on the deck overlooking the lake or stay inside.there is a bar and also a dance floorStaff are friendly and service was great, with the waiter recommending their dishes when we were not sure what to pick. And their suggestion was perfect.Would recommend a look."
