"My friend and I came on Friday 1st of June for afternoon tea that we had booked the week before and received a booking confirmation for. Our booking hadn 't been written down so the staff didn 't know we were booked in. We were asked to go and wait outside even though there were tables free and a few minutes later a lady came outside and told us that if we waited another 20 minutes then she could get something together. We were unable to do this due to me having a medical appointment later on and when we explained this she said 'ok ' and walked away. A review was posted on their facebook page and the owner replied saying that the cafe was busy and they offered us drinks whilst we waited. In fact the cafe only had one occupied table and we were offered nothing. The fact that Mrs Potts has decided to lie about what happened has made me lose faith in their business and I would never return now. They offered us 20% off in this reply to us but I am not willing to return after they have lied about the situation in order to save face. I understand that sometimes mistakes happen but I 'm really unhappy with how the situation was handled and the lack of customer service that I have received. We weren 't given a proper apology, weren 't even offered a drink and then they lied in response to us and eventually turned off their facebook reviews so nobody can see the negative ones. I wouldn 't recommend this place to anybody."

"As always the meals we had, one fish, chips peas, one pie, chips peas, with wonderful portions quality. The staff are all pleasant polite the prices excellent. Worth a visit."

"Tucked away on an industrial estate is a porta kabin selling typical British greasy spoon cafe meals. What's not typical is that inside it's clean and cheerful and the quality of the food is a cut above. Not a restaurant but good home style cooking. A find."

"Visited here last week and loved it. Its really new, with lovely, super friendly staff and the decor is lovely. Superb coffee, as always from Costa and we tried some of their new Ginger Latte cake........simply gorgeous! Once again Costa get it spot on."

"After a walk we decided to have breakfast as a treat. Disappointed doesn't even cover it . Food was overcooked and over priced, pretentious is a word that comes to mind. pounds for breakfast!! I am happy to pay for food if the quality...is a match of the price. Then was addressed at the till as love and questioned when I declined putting a gratuity on the bill. Needless to say we will not return."
