"I've been here a few times over the last twelve months or so and have, on each occasion, found the food to be OK but the service woeful.After collecting your menu from the table labelled "Menu's" (perhaps staff are inferring the table belongs to the menu or maybe they are just skilled in the misuse of the apostrophe) you order your meal at the walk-up counter. I've only ever ordered open sandwiches and salads at this venue, but those I've dined with have ordered other items such as schnitzel and pasta. The food is delivered quickly and is tasty. The portion sizes are huge - why someone needs two enormous schnitzels in a meal meant for one person is beyond me. The schnitzels also appear to be deep-fried, rather than pan-fried.Avoid the desserts - they are bland and expensive.The bar is not permanently staffed and cannot readily be seen by the overworked staff taking orders for food. This means that anyone wanting alcohol must either:a) wait until a member of staff is free (or think to check the bar area for customers), or,b) order alcohol when there is a member of staff behind the bar - whether you need it at the time or not.It might be good customer service to install a bell at the bar so customers can alert the staff to their presence. If not a bell, a mirror positioned to allow staff working at the food counter to readily see clients waiting for bar service might work. As is common today, staff make the mistake of clearing plates on a "one-by-one" basis rather than exercising dining "good manners" and clearing all the plates once everyone at the table has finished eating.The cafe also seems to be the last bastion of "girlie" pictures in the workplace. On my last visit I spied two 1940s-style pictures of scantily clad "bathing beauties" lurking over the bar. I'm hoping the intention of displaying these pictures was to reflect the venue's waterside location. If so, some sort of gender-balance should be sought by displaying pictures of scantily clad men as well (perhaps something along the lines of Max Dupain's "The Sunbaker", or similar). If the pictures of the girls are simply displayed for titillation they should be removed. Quickly.The location is lovely, but there are better venues around. I will, undoubtedly, return at some point - the place simply isn't at the top of my list."

"Dining at Cafe Bella Dee was a great experience. The corner cafe has a welcoming entrance and a very cosy interior with plenty of seating, albeit someone condensed, my preference was the outdoor seating. The service was attentive and friendly. The menu is extensive and very reasonably priced. My highlight was the current caramilk twirl pancake special, you can guarantee they will be keeping up with latest trends. Fritters are always a favourite of mine but often overlooked on many cafe menus, but not here, so it's definitely another dish I'd highly recommend!"

"After we haven't eaten here for a long time and after we couldn't decide what to eat, we thought we'd go on this place. It's better than we remembered, that's a good thing. We had the pizzas and they weren't amazing, but they weren't too bad. Would CB probably try the Pide or Lebanese style pizzas when we go back."

"We waited at the cafe register, no service, we moved to normal queue, no service, moved back to cafe and someone was wiping the bench, we had to ask to order. Then a staff member serving drive through said ‘do the customers have to be...so f*kn rude’. Very inappropriate."
