"Ordered online for a 5:30 pick-up of pizza and a salad. Pizza ready at 5:30, salad took until 5:55 and got the pizza cold! What the hell! No sorry, no compensation, wouldn't even put the pizza back in the oven to warm it up. Avoid at all costs. John"

"This should have been a very quaint and pleasant stop but unfortunately for us we encountered a very rude and unpleasant front-counter person who made us feel like we were "despicable creatures". While I do not speak French my friend is completely fluent and unbeknownst to the service-person she understood all the incredibly offensive things she was saying about us. She was rolling her eyes around, making stupid guteral noises. We had no idea what we did wrong other than we ordered in English. We had been traveling Quebec for 10 days and did not encounter this backyards anti-Anglo attitude anywhere else. We are pleasant and kind travelers and most definitely did not deserve to be treated in this manner. Because of this, we would never, ever go back. I hope the owner reads this post and speaks to her young staff about treating "all" travelers with respect."

"We stayed at the hotel and decided to try their dinner menu. The waiter's service was great and the appetizer and dinner were well presented and delicious. We were only there 2 days and wished we had also eaten there the day before but they were so busy we could not get a reservation. I will definitely go back next time we are in town"

"We needed a light supper after a less-active day. Le Gibard was just perfect. Upstairs was quieter, which suited us. We were seated quickly, menus arrived instantly, and when Mr T didn’t quite understand that his desired beer was all out, the server switched cheerfully to English. Pizza, panini and croque monsieur with drinks for three left much less of a dent in the wallet than most other places we’ve eaten on our way east from Montreal."
