"ULVA is a magical place and it starts with indicating to the boatman that you want to be picked up in the small ferry boat. By sliding an indicator board to red the very friendly boatman comes over from ULVA to pick you up at the pier. A few minutes later you are on the small island of Ulva. Our first stop was the “Boathouse” restaurant cafe for coffee and cheese scones , both tasty and of good quality. A decent walk around the island followed before heading back to the “Boathouse“ for some homemade soup and bread. All very tasty again and there was a good selection of items on the menu. A really nice place to go on a beautiful island, we will definitely be back !"

"Beautiful setting, extremely exposed so that they are careful not to take money for too many nights in a row, as the last of people go when the weather gets dirty. toilets and shower very modern and well maintained. directly on the beach and directly under the cullin ridge, very practical for the adventure. shop makes beautiful baked and coffee, hot chocolate on constant heat. shop is more furnished for tourist, does not have the usual dinge that a camper needs. meat and veg would of course be difficult, but there are loads of non-damageable foods that they could store."

"When they visit tiree, and how you eat, this is a place they should visit. huge selection of food on the menu and generous portions. I love the mutton! If you want an alcoholic drink at your meal, they will bring one with you as they are not available here. small and cozy, bookable."

"Its a very small but well done museum. It has a small gift shop at the entrance, then the museum lies in the room behind. Entry by donation. It is small but has a lot of documents on the history of the island. If one is really interested, one can spend time reading. Certainly worthwhile to visit when in Iona."
