"Visited here with friends for coffee and scones , it was busy and we were lucky to get a table outside in the sunshine . The staff were helpful and the scones were fresh and tasty , with lovely jam , the coffee was excellent...and refills were provided . Overall this was a nice place to visit . Lovely produce also available for take away ."

"I go here every Saturday for the food (because its probably the best tasting burger you'll get around) and nearly every Saturday, in some small way, I don't get what I ask for. Like no pickles in a burger or no tomatoes but magically I always seem to get them. Today when I was back to castleisland to find a whole meal missing from my order it really didn't go down too well. Not very happy with the service."

"We were on the road, looking for a bite to eat, and paused in Tralee. Not knowing the town, we parked in the multi-storey and on leaving the parking garage we walked up the street past the post office. The Italian cafe caught our eye. They served the best coffee I have had in Ireland. My friend had a calzone and I had a salad with very fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes and basil. The food was excellent. My only criticism is that the basil was dried flakes and not fresh leaves. We got chatting to the owner and it turns out he is a Lithuanian who has lived in Chicago and is passionate about Italian food. His cooking is excellent and the food is fresh. You can also buy Italian wines, olive oils and jars of preserves there. He has clearly spent a lot fitting out the cafe. It is sparkling clean and inviting, and of course the espresso machine looks like something that could launch a rocket to the moon. I hope they fix up the toilet to the same standard. Actually just putting a good coat of white paint on the door would help. It was clean, but a bit shabby. Good luck to him, and I hope the business is a success."
