"I had booked a place for my family for mother’s day. When we arrived we were almost immediately seated and had, despite the short-term reservation, a fairly nice place. The service was very pleasant and also the food is definitely worth going there. The wonderful thing of this restaurant is that it can be used as a starting or ending point for a visit of the nearby stalactite caves of Grotte de Vallorbe. After having taken our order the waiter served us a nice small appetiser to our aperitif. Two of us had ordered the classic Tartare which is actually prepared manually and prior to be served the waiter serves you a small sample to see if the tartar is as you would like it. One person had the Croute Morille, a Swiss dish served in a ceramic pan which is baked bread with several ingredients over it (a little bit like a heavy hot breakfast), and in this case served with morels – excellent, for sure. The dessert we had, a moelleux au chocolat, is a warm, inside still liquid, chocolate cake – was of excellent taste as well. Definitely worth a visit, and don’t forget to do the stalactite caves."

"Incontournable petit restaurant dans lequel nous nous rendons régulièrement en saison d'hiver pour y déguster le fameux HCV burger " - la spécialité artisanale présentée sur ardoise. La carte propose aussi des fondues (à l'ail des ours) et autres planchettes avec des produits de la région. Ambiance "sport café" où se mélange toutes les générations que vous soyez amateur de sport de glace ou non. Le personne est efficace et sympathique. Cuisine spéciale les soirs de match (Paëlla, Raclette, BBQ etc)."

"Great location on the riverside as the rippling water provides a calming accompaniment to the outdoor dining experience. The coloured metal chairs outside are not overly comfortable (be aware if you have back issues) but easily swapped for another style if not busy. Trout on the menu was appealing, having just seen some swim in the river moments earlier. It did not disappoint, accompanied by a honey and lemon sauce, which was delicious and went well with the filet of fish and frites. Beef and horse steaks are also available, as well as a good range of salads. The rosé wine was equally pleasant. Overall, a pleasant meal out."
