"We went here for breakfast on Anzac Day. Would have loved something simple but the only options were pretty out there and complicated to say the least We ended up getting a coffee which was ok. Service was really slow. Even though the place was packed only one table had food so we decided it wasn’t for us and went to two sugars which never disappoints."

"The place is very Nice. Staff were great. Food was very good. The tea and coffee were not so hot. I did like the place and would return. Just the food, looked great but needed a bit more flavour for me. But over all good . Not great ."

"Had a really poor experience at this cafe this week, ordered "The Grace" and the gluten-free version of "The Grace". When the meals came out, the bread was *soaked* in a disgusting layer of relish that tasted like expired condiments that you would dip spring rolls into. We only received a mere tablespoon of avocado each which was unable to be identified in taste due to the overpowering relish. Coffees were good, bacon was a nice medium between salty and sweet, and the hash browns were golden and crispy. It was only after we left that we noticed one of us was overcharged for the gluten free version of "the grace" (which in future should be charged differently to the *regular grace* - as demonstrated by the difference between the regular and gluten free menus) and undercharged for an element of our meal. We will 100% not be returning to this cafe."

"Don't believe the bad reviews. I've slowly made this relatively still secret cafe my Saturday haunt for nearly 6 months now. Considering the general quality of the cafes in Belmont Highton... and for that matter Grovedale/Waurn Ponds this place wins hands down (at least for me it does). The standard/quality of the food is way better, theres generally always a spot to sit unless its REALLY busy in which case thats the chance you take going out to a cafe, and so don't be surprised if you might wait a little longer There seems to be a bit more of smarter crowd there too, they haven't ever stuffed up an order and have even remembered small preferences I've asked for in the past....read more"

"I frequently take my disabled friend to Sandstone where we can enjoy a cuppa and cake together. There are disabled parks directly outside the venue.Although we have a light snack I have also attended an afternoon function at Sandstone and as always everything was just spot on!! The cafe is very clean and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. The food is very fresh and there is a large selection of very tempting cakes and slices to have with a cuppa.I highly recommend this venue for a drop in snack or a fully licensed meal.Well done to all at Sandstone!!!!!!"
