"In Wellsboro for a few nights stayed at this sweet little shop for brunch one day. My husband had a breakfast bagel sandwich, and I had tuna salad on sunflower seed bread. Both were great! Do not forget to order some bagel chips. If you don't eat them all, they'll save themselves to the snack later."

"Awesome place to eat and stay. Very cool historic building, in the heart of Wellsboro that has been maintained excellently. Good meals, cool historic bar menu with some classic drinks that keep with the theme. We were all very happy with the excellent service by our server, Jackie, and the representative running the lobby, Dave. They made our time there even better. Highly recommend."

"There is so much to say about this place! We need to have a little chat with Chris the owner who told us all about the history of places and their history to turn it into the welcoming place it is today. The 1862 building, which is now the restaurant, was once named “Hotel Roosevelt” after US president Theodore Roosevelt, who visited the area. The bar stool area at the tavern is the original and the back of the bar was built in the 1930s. Chris and his wife Laura refurbished and opened the Wellsboro house in July 2008 and until today family remains owned and operated. Chris was one of the highlights of our trip, and we enjoyed hearing stories from their renovation as well as their goals for the future. Wellsboro House Brewery is located across the street from Wellsboro House Restaurant. Also owned by restaurant owners Chris and Laura, the brewery found their home in the historic 1914 Zug Depot in Wellsboro. Their motto is 'limited quantity, high diversity, and consistently ingenious. ' They currently have 16 of their beers on tap in the restaurant, and to my surprise they had an excellent selection of dark beers to make... So of course I tried them all! Between us we tried: Dan Smith's Chocolate Stout Rail Boss Coffee Ale South of the Border Porter Wynken, Blynken and Nod Out IPA Juicy Lucy IPA Quadzilla Triple Belgian So many good brews that it's hard to choose a favorite... although there was a pretty close call between the chocolate stout and Quadzilla was our only regret to go to the Wellsboro house, is that we haven't gone earlier! It is undoubtedly a place we would have loved to enjoy at least one more time before leaving. Excellent food. Excellent beers. Excellent service."

"I'd give 6 stars if I could! I was very pleased with the breakfast and the quality of the service I was given. They ensured that our meal is very pleasant. Loved the Omelette we got and the waffles my partner got were also soft and very sweet. Would absolutely recommend!"

"Wellsboro is a quaint northern PA town with a charming Main St complete with plenty of shops and even an old-time department store. Each December they have a Christmas passport event where families are invited to get their passport stamped by various stores in the town. A raffle is held for those who get at least 8 stamps. Historic walking tours are also available. We made a long weekend of it and had a great time. The hotel is nice but dated, 1925! Actually very nice, with antique woodwork in a beautiful lobby. Breakfast was ok, coffee very good. Our room had a king, with a separate bathroom, a hair dryer, and plenty of towels. Note the heat is steam so you may be challenged to find a comfortable temp. Overall a great stay."

"Knödel were not disappointed. 10/10. Maybe the best dumplings I ever had. The remaining food was also good, but the dumplings were the highlight. And you can get a crazy amount of food for the price! We made several meals from our order."
