"I recently heard that the restaurant was indeed open, so we had lunch there his past Sunday with friends. In speaking with the owner I determined that they were closed on Tuesdays, the day we originally tried to eat there. I regret my review of that date, but my assumption was reasonable in the circumstances.Our experience at lunch was a good one - good food, nice surroundings and good prices."

"This shop is a very unique combination of diverse food stuffs offered as shelf stock, eat-in (including seasonal patio dining) or as a provider of food baskets as gifts. We initially stopped by a couple of years ago on a walk downtown and found it to be a most attractive and interesting venue. To our surprise we were greeted with a very diverse and fascinating international array of both domestic & international foodstuffs as well as a select range of unique commodities from coffees to hot sauces to chocolate. We were also pleased to find that they offered an excellent menu of food offerings, all prepared to order on site. The venue is somewhat narrow but opens up towards the rear of the shop & provides access to a small patio. We were so impressed with the selection of various goods that we have opted to stop in regularly for gift buying for family and friends. We so highly recommended it to family in the US that they gift us each Christmas with a marvelous food basket, including cheeses that are both unique & wonderful at the same time. The service is always efficient and very knowledgeable on each of the commodities made available for sale. The lunch sandwiches that we have sampled have been excellent with the highest quality ingredients and the literal size of the offering. The price point on the food offerings is slightly above the norm but well within an acceptable range. Similarly the unique shelf items may be considered to be priced a tad high; but, given the sourcing and quality that we have personally experienced, the return on the investment is more that equitable. The Deli & Cafe has become a regular stop on our walks about downtown Woodstock. Highly recommended. **** 4 stars"

"I placed an order and paid online back in May. When the driver delivered my ordered he showed me a receipt that says to collect payment because payment did not go through online so I paid again. When I checked my bank account it showed the amount was taken out twice, so I called the store and the general manager said she would look into it. A few days later I called again and was told I would be reimbursed in about 7-10 days. I was not reimbursed so I called again and the general manager asked me to send a copy of my bank statement and that she would forward it to Chase bank and if I didn't get reimbursed that I would have to go after the bank myself. I have called the bank and they told me that I need to contact the store to straighten it out. I just keep getting the run around. It is now June 16 and still haven't received my money back. On top of all that the 8 piece crispy chicken dinner I ordered was the worst. It was almost burnt and cold, after taking the coating off, I ended up with a little piece of chicken the was dried out and couldn't eat it. The mashed potatoes had a sour taste to them. The only good part of the dinner was the coleslaw, the rest ended up in the garbage. Will not order from this location because the food was terrible and I believe the general manager should be doing everything she can to get me my money back."
