"My spouse and I simply adore this restaurant. Once indoors, you’ll feel immediately immersed in Rio. The food and staff are top notch! The environment is clean and fun. Can’t wait to come again!"

"Different than your typical Brazilian steakhouse. No buffet, so you had to order sides a la carte (included in price) but you can only order 4 at a time, which can be a bit frustrating if there are four diners or more at a table. There is no green/red indicators, so the meat servers would come by when we didn't want food (ie when we were waiting for our guests) and we had to specifically flag them down when we wanted something. They didn't bring around all the different types consistently and even when asked to bring something over that the table beside us got (for example lamb and sausage), they ignored us. There is a two hour dining limit and we noticeably saw them avoiding our table with the meats at about the 1:15 hour mark. All in all, for the price including drinks (bill was $600 for 4 people) we left feeling hungry. They had a few minutes of entertainment which was nice, but overall think this place is overrated. If you've never done Brazilian bbq, this is a nice way to be introduced, but prefer some of the others."

"I'm here from London, UK and needed a late lunch. I've tried some of the other well known places in recent years and based on Internet search and Burger Tours blog, settled on Toma.Unlike all the others, this is a proper restaurant with table service. There's plenty of space to sit at large tables and be comfortable especially in a group. Food is served on real plates with steel cutlery. Other places everyone is crowded onto small tables to eat out of paper bags. Being on my own, I sat at the bench by the window which was very comfortable with plenty of space and enjoyed a leisurely lunch. For style and comfort this is easily the best of the burger places. The food is excellent. I had the Burger with pulled pork and onion ring on top. It was truly delicious, 5-stars. Tasty, juicy, full of flavour, different textures, seriously enjoyable. I'm active and eat lots so easily underfed. There was no room left after this Burger and fries! The staff (one, briefly met, probably the owner) were brilliant. The waitress was lovely, had everything covered and took time for a chat as well. Wine list! Your drinks aren't limited to ones that travel well in a paper bag. There's a good wine selection with drinks served in proper glasses. Now Toma has got me. What is good food without a decent glass of wine? You can have your Burger and coke to go, or you can sit at a comfortable table and enjoy your food with wine. :-)If I lived in Toronto, this would certainly be my first choice for a burger with at least equal (and likely better) quality food and definitely much better experience and comfort."

"The Brazilian pastel is so delicious, with beef and cheese flavours. They also carry coxiha (mini and large ones). Esfiha is also available but not on a regular basis. For drinks, there is guarani and caipirinha (made with Brazilian rum cachaca). The only issue with the place is the price. It is quite pricy and for the amount of money paid for snacks, one can have a meal at a fast food place."
