"Eigentlich fällt mir zum La Estrella del Tapeo nicht viel ein – es schmeckte nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht gut. Die Gerichte hörten sich spanisch an – schmeckten aber nicht spanisch. Die hausgemachte Aioli, die sehr weiß und von recht flüssiger Konsistenz ist, erinnerte eher an gekaufte Mayonnaise, in die man etwas Knoblauch gerührt hatte. Die anderen von uns bestellten Tapas hatten keine Höhen und keine Tiefen ...Auf der gegrillten "Estrella del Tapeo-Platte", die man nur zu zweit bestellen kann und die pro Person stolze 15 € kostet, schmeckte alles gleich: Salz, Pfeffer, langweilig, trocken. Und dabei ist doch gerade Spanien für seine Vielfalt an Kräutern und Gewürzen bekannt. Es wurde noch nicht einmal ein Dip oder ein Stück Zitrone dazu gereicht.Dem Lokal "Der Spanier" (Bornheimer Straße, Bonn) kann La Estrella jedenfalls nicht im Entferntesten das Wasser reichen."
