"My wife and I had lunch here on Monday August. We had a table with a view (well, she did The welcome was warm and the seats comfy, and the location is very close to the embankment but away from the noise and crowds. We started with a cocktail each which were superbly made and delicious, followed by fantastic calamari served with black squid ink mayo. So tender with a beautifully crisp coating. My wife opted for a fillet steak and I had the sirloin. Both steaks were cooked to perfection and were so juicy and tender. She loved the red wine sauce and I too loved the béarnaise sauce. And the truffle cheese triple-cooked chips were out of this world! So much truffle flavour! The wines we had paired nicely with the meal she had the merlot and I had the malbec. The white chocolate bomb for dessert was good too which we shared. Attentive and friendly service from everyone. And a special thanks for George who we booked with. Looking forward to returning very soon for what has to be the best steaks in Central London!"

"Every time I came by this place, it was full, so I was excited to find a table. they make in first line two things: okonomiyaki (a Japanese pancake street eating with different fillings) or noodle, again with a lot of ingredients the great to okonomiyaki is that they can choose what to put in it, and this customizable element is what this restaurant loves. I went for her special, which is based on seafood and I loved it, but they can get around and make it as they like it, I think that the pancake is better than the noodles so that and then a starter. I recommend the aubergine. the kagua bier is also very good and rare, as it was once only a man who made it in japan...read more"

"Gourmet china cook is the best Chinese takeaway in south london. I have been eating for almost 5 years takeaway from gourmet china cook. they prepare big foods, prices are brilliant and portions are very generous (especially as a meal box.) super customer service from the dame behind the theke. no delivery option, however, ring before to place and avoid their order, wait for Friday and Saturday evenings."

"Visited The Stonhouse with a large booking for the start of a birthday party. We had originally made an outdoor booking but it started raining and the staff were lovely to find space for us indoors. The bloody marys were heavy on the horseradish (which was delicious). Unfortunately the food was a massive let down. The jerk chicken wings were appalling; they were fatty, tasted boiled, and didn’t taste at all like jerk. The prawns at £8, were tasty but came with 3…hardly a decent portion size. I won’t be having any food off their menu next time."
