"To be fair we didn 't get to sample the food or anything else on offer. Upon entry we were stuck on the stairs behind a couple. A male employee impatiently asked me What 's going on here? to which I replied that we were hoping to be seated. Without any politeness or hospitality he promptly told us we 'd have to wait outside. As it was a cold December afternoon, waiting outside was not going to happen so we did not, and will not, return."

"We booked a table for a friend's birthday. We arrived on time and had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. We understood that restaurant was busy but the attitude of the bar staff was appalling. They were disinterested and more concerned with table bookings and time slots rather than taking care of their customers in front of their eyes. After 10 minutes of trying to make eye contact and get one of the staffs attention, she looked at me and spoke to me like I was an inconvenience. When I eventually ordered drinks and paid for them it took a further 10 minutes and 2 further enquiries as to where the drinks were . I was then told responded to in a sharp prickly tone. When our table was ready, we got told we could sit. We didn't get shown over. We ordered drinks at the table and the lady who served us spilt a drink all down the back if that birthday girls dress. She was clearly very embarrassed and apologied profusely. However we weren't offered any gesture of good will or anything to demonstrate an apology. Unfortunately the girl with the headphone was stressed and struggling to cope and made no attempt at disguising her frustration and stress. The gentleman at the ba with dread locks was disinterested with poor customer service. There was a young lady with glasses who served and cleaned the tables and she was much better. I observed her reassuring that lady wearing the headphones several times and despite how busy they restaurant was ,she appeared to take it in her stride and get on with the task in hand. In all honesty that way we were treat put us off completely. The food was ok but I wouldn't return based on the chaos and attitude of the staff."

"Absolutely loved our starter dishes of the bang bang cauliflower with the sublime firecracker sauce and the delicious spicy teriyaki vegan chicken hirata steamed buns. I could eat those starters on repeat they are so good and so flavoursome. We also ordered the teriyaki vegan chicken ramen but found it to be a little bland, although the vegan chicken was great. We also got the tofu raisukaree, which had a beautiful fragrant sauce but the tofu was too soft and crumbly for my liking. Might have just been an off day for both main dishes but I would visit again, only stick to my personal favourite, the firecracker tofu."

"Went in with my partner and was busy got sat down within minutes, even without us making a reservation.small menu so was easy to decide what we wanted to eat. We both had the seafood noodle soup and a few starters came very quick. Nice food waitress were friendly will be back!"

"I ate in La Vita last night, in general the food was mediocre at best, i was especially disapointed that we were served margerine in place of butter, the food was cooked reasonably well however the ingredients were sub standard and this showed. To start we had calamares which were over cooked and or had been frozen and therefore were hard and chewy. King prawns which were cooked well but had no heads and had therefore lost alot of flavour. My main gripe with this restaurant is the quality of service, there was a problem with the chip and pin machine at the end of the meal- it was taking too long to process my cards, this would have been ok if not for the attitude of the co-owner (he informed me) who spent mins argueing with me at the table and insisted on taking out his own card and charging himself in order to prove that the machine was working which I felt inferred that there was a problem with my cards rather than the machine. Thankfully the payment went through on the second attempt. I find it unacceptable that as a client i was subjected to this kind of infantile behaviour and embarrasment at the end of my meal, surely it is not difficult to simply say I'm sorry madam there is a problem with the machine and process the payment again. I would think that given the lack of customers that the management would want to try and encourage business and not drive it away."

"Went out for a family birthday, was the first time we visited here.... But definitely not the last. On arrival we perused the menu, which was extensive. On reflection I think we over ordered on the small plates but heyho. All the food was tasty and deliciously different. The mains were also of high quality. We had to admit defeat but the staff packaged up the leftovers for us. All in all I was massively impressed with food and the staff. Will definitely be back."
