"I absolutely love the food here, but I'd rather go when there isn't 100 birthdays at the same time! It can be very very busy but the service is always brilliant as is the food! I do think drinks are crazily expensive and having to pay adult prices for children over 12 would be fine if my children would eat anything other than rice. "Went today and really enjoyed it I had cod chips and mushy peas my husband haddock chips and mushy peas the food was very good but The price of 2 small mushy peas came to £5.20 on there own I could if bought 4 large bags for that I know they have to run a business but that is expensive 2 small bottles of soft drinks too £3.50 each pub prices arnt that much I think they need to check there prices or offer a alternative meal for 2 people today fish chips peas and a soft drink twice £40 I will return but will miss out the peas and the soft drinks at those prices"

"Mid week after work before a 7:30pm show at The Royal Centre (10 minutes' walk away). I went mackerel starter and then monkfish main course, both of which were excellent; my wife (vegetarian) enjoyed her substantial bowl of Gnudi (a little bit like gnocchi) which she'd never encountered before. Neither of us could pass up the excellent sounding chocolate dessert, which was delightfully rich. We left full but not stuffed so just right. Friendly and efficient service. Room a tiny bit cold, particularly sat by the massive windows the radiators were not on. Sad to see we were the only people dining they deserve to be much busier. Sensible prices for the high quality of the cooking."

"Tried to ring the restaurant 47 times prior my booking, aware of the late/cancellation policy. Upon arriving at the restaurant 20 mins late (with reasoning and evidence of trying to get in contact with the restaurant) we was ‘greeted’ by the manager who rudely exclaimed how we have 10 mins to order from the kitchen. He continued to look at his watch, rushing us to our table, not allowing us to apologise or explain our situation of being sent to iberico tapas bar instead of iberico world tapas on our maps. We booked this experience for my partners 27th birthday and has honestly ruined our day. The service alone was the worst service I have ever received being a restaurant manager myself, this could have been diluted by actually speaking to us. The young waitress was lovely when we explained we felt uncomfortable staying in a restaurant where we could be treated so badly by the manager."

"If they are looking for a Sunday roast, they do not see any more amazing meal two different types of meat, so well done it in their mouth melted, large portions and a free, yes free pudding, greenking they have their game for this public house amazing choice of beer and excellent service. try it .but book if not early"

"Visited for works do and was pleasantly surprised. Being slightly out of the main centre of Nottingham I didn't know this place existed, but I'm glad I do now! Delicious food and the self contained karaoke rooms are great fun!"

"Overall Brown’s is a really good place for lunch and it had plenty on the restaurant menu and the bar menu to make a return visit worthwhile. Not a 9hr flight return visit, just if one happened to be in the area."
