"Friendly and attentive service, light and airy venue with views of strathfield golf course. standard bistro fair, but well made. the parmigiana is a good size and the steaks were ordered exactly as well and perfectly arranged on the outside. can be a bit loud at the weekend, especially when it plays live music. fortunate they can eat outside if they want a more relaxed experience. good selection of cakes in the offer and the coffee was also beautiful. groups and families will go well here."

"The hot pots came out brimming with broth, meat and assorted vegetables. Upon inspection, the pot was filled with marinated bulgogi beef, spring onion, tofu, mushrooms and generous servings of ramen noodles. With hot pot, it’s best to cook the noodles for just a short while so they are still chewy. Gourmet Gumbo has unfortunately had the unpleasant experience of eating very mushy, soggy noodles having been left in the hot pot for far too long."

It's a great place for students or anyone wanting to have a nice quiet quick or social meal in the underground (or should I say, upstairs) suite of Strathfield. Like mumma's home style cooking. "Would say it's only marginally better than other shops with the same style of choices with rice or noodles but was still mostly bland. The honey chicken was indeed sweet and the salt and pepper squid did taste like it had some seasoning on it even though the noodles tasted like they only used water for seasoning but nevertheless the food was still lacking in any flavour."
