"The reviews that indicate poor dining experiences are, no doubt, all based on their experiences. We stopped in for lunch and were seated right next to the water. The dock and outside appear to be in need of some TLC, but those areas may not be the restaurants responsibly. The dining experience we had was nothing short of an amazing lunch with great service and deliciously prepared and beautifully presented... Our lunch included: Salade Niçoise w/ Seared Tuna, French Onion Soup, Trout Almondine... all were exceptional. We left a bit of room for dessert, Puff Pastry filled with Strawberries whipped cream."

"Food is wonderful, but the service is not existent. We were here early and there were only about 4 tables. The waiter never came back to our table after he delivered our food. We had to go to the bar to get more wine. The bartender, Steve was great!"

"Food was very ordinary and really disappointing, nothing like what we remember from the original Positano at Compo Beach. It may be new management and a different chef, and not very good. There also was music the night we were there, two good musicians but WAY too loud for the space which made it impossible to talk. We will never go back !!"

"Good homestyle food at reasonable prices. Service is generally good also. Try the clam boil stew on Thursday. Lots of daily specials. Lobster saute was good. Country fried steak is tasty. Meatloaf also good. Bloody Mary was pretty decent. Clean dining area and restroom. Open fairly late. (9pm)."

"Outstanding food and drinks! Medium rare bacon cheeseburger arrived as ordered. Summer Sangria was very tasty and refreshing. Blueberry Lavender Refresher was quite lovely. We sat at the bar inside but there is plenty of outside seating under umbrellas. The dining area past the bar is narrow and unappealing so stick to the other options."

"Yes is might be more expensive- that's the world we now live in, it's not compared to NYC. The staff was Fantastic and so was the food. The wine was superior and large pours. I had some awful dining experiences in CT. while visiting and this was in a league of it's own."
