"Just make sure you know what you are ordering when you are. I was looking for a quick take out. I selected Sashimi and was looking for a bulk up item. Like 6 pieces of special roll or California roll or avocado roll. She suggested Spicy Tuna as it’s popular she said. Well I don’t who with! All I can say is it’s not to my taste. Toooooo spicy! Maybe after a beer or two it might be better. But I don’t think so. Service was good and it was ready quick."

"We each ordered a lunch box : a chicken teriyaki and a veggie box plus appy sized tempura. The tempura was excellent as was the gyoza (dumplings). The rest was fine but nothing special."

"If you're heading up (or down) the North island Highway before 3 pm and you feel like a bite or a meal, be sure to stop at Tammy's cafe. She's been cooking up a homemade storm for 2 years, friendly, tasty, quick and very reasonably priced. It was raining the day we stopped so we ate in the cute little dining area inside at the back but there was plenty of inviting wooden seating outside for drier days. She isn't open for supper so get there early."
