"First off, I thought well if the waitress: she was very friendly to us and our child. I liked the atmosphere. I would return for these reasons and these reasons are what earned the 3 stars. However, I would not order the pad Thai again. This is what drew us, as my wife and I really enjoy a good pad Thai, but don't have any near us, since we left Austin. Let me say, there may be people who really like this. We however didn't finish and didn't want to have it for take away. If you are interested in a more traditional flavor you may want to order something else off the menu. We didn't order anything else, so we can't speak to the quality of those items, but if we return, I will be ordering something else. The pad Thai was more dry then expected, with a very powerful fish sauce taste that was not pleasant compared to what we are used to. The portion was also smaller than what we normally get for the price. None of the individual items (noodles, tofu, sauce) that make up the stuff were like those we have been used to, from various places around the state. Again, the staff were friendly, the place looked good. I'd be interested in ordering something else."

"The first time here. This place is amazing! The prices are great! We had the boat that had sashimi, rainbow rolls, California rolls, thick tuna, salmon, smoked salmon, paved tuna and white fish sashimi. Lindsey was our server and she was wonderful. She has described various roles. Shared stupid jokes. She checked us regularly to make sure everything was great! We will definitely be back!!!!"

"Sake Cafe! Five out of five! What a beautiful pearl in the sea of moderate restaurants in Lufkin. Prices are more than reasonable for the fresh and tasty dishes they handle. The serving sizes are really generous. Although everyone was friendly and accommodating, our server Tatum has looked after us very well, often contrary to our needs. Tatum is a bright star! Thank you."

"The food was fresh, amazing and hot! It was exactly what we needed after a 2 hour delay on the side of the road because a wrench went through my tire. The staff was informative, friendly and explained how long it would take. The restaurant was very clean without the rumors. (I am allergic to Clorox). We got our food under time and it was delicious as we ate at the discount tire on the road."

"Today I ordered 120$ worth of rolls and appetizers and let me tell you. This sushi is KILLER! I’m from the Bay Area California and we have a competitive sushi game in the bay. I have to say, hands down this is the top 2 sushi I’ve ever had. The rolls are full of flavor, the tempura is crispy with just the right amount of salt to set off the whole flavor. Their sauces are like none I’ve ever had, and complement the rolls to PERFECTION! When I go home to California I will miss this place SO MUCH. Thank you for having amazing food and such great service. When I visit again I will most certainly be back. 10/10 amazing food."
