"If I was rating The California Coffee Republic based solely on the coffee and food alone, I would give it a strong 4 out of 5 stars. Rating only on the service, management and organization, I would give only a 1 out of 5, being very generous. The California Coffee Republic has many young workers, no observable management or organization at all. My best friend and I spend one chosen afternoon a week to meet for a relaxing, adult moment of coffee and conversation. We did not find this at The California Coffee Republic. What we did find was a great amount of choas and disorganization. A young child, around the age of 5 or 6 was running in and out of the back of the coffee shop amongst the food cooking and preparation. At 1pm when we arrived, there were no pastries or scones left for the rest of the day, even though they did not close for many hours to come. After ordering, my cell number was taken so I could be texted when the food was ready. When I received the text, I went inside and stood waiting. I stood there for approximately 10 minutes and finally asked the young man making the coffees where I pick up my food. He told me to wait and someone would bring it out. I stood there another 5 minutes waiting and becoming increasingly irritated. Another worker came in from the outside, and I asked her where I get my food. She also told me to wait where I was. While I was standing there I heard another customer, who has also been standing there awhile ask where they get their food. In anger I finally walked outside and my friend went inside to wait. She also waited almost 15 minutes for our food. Not ok. While my friend was standing in there waiting, after I had already given up, California Coffee Republic called my phone with a reminder that the food was ready This entire experience is very unfortunate because the coffees were really good and the pizza was delicious."

"Went to this place today because the rents claimed of it's awesomeness! Food is really really good! Only two comments, it could be a bit brighter in there. It was really dark when we arrived and we weren't sure it was open until we walked inside. Next comment, food was great, the ceviche was out of this world and the fried yucca , but the Lomo wasn't as good as it could be. It was good but if the meat was just a bump up in quality this would be a 10 star review. This place is Soo good! I wish it wasn't so hidden!"

"Delicious California Roll. I'm more careful during the pandemic, so I didn't order anything raw. I had such a desire for sushi, and Love Sushi was spectacularly delicious. These chefs were super careful, and it was a perfect take-out environment. Look at her counter ad to see how many orders they had when I was there! Great prices too!"

"Good sushi, nothing fancy but good. Took off a star because they got my order wrong and gave me 2 California Rolls instead of 2 Spicy Tuna Rolls but its ok. Also no wasabi or ginger!! Very bummed about that part. My favorite is the 1000 Bc Roll since it tastes like a 911 Roll without the raw spicy tuna I cant have while pregnant."

"This is our 2nd time ordering food. We love the food we order. We tried Tom Kha gai soup from other Thai restaurants but I can say their Tom Kha gai soup is the best one. Panang and the curry are delicious. We ordered different food and they are all so delicious. We highly recommend it. It’s worth the drive from Camarillo to moorpark."

"The best AYCE deal in town, great quality food and service. Absolutely love this place, and it's our go-to sushi choice! The staff is very friendly and the sushi chefs are skilled and also a delight to chat with. Spider roll is a favorite but nothing beats a platter of nigiri sushi and some hot sake!"

"Based on previous reviews, I have to believe we had an off experience at Kazuya. We showed up soon after they opened, and couldn’t ignore the smell of sewage as we sat down for lunch (we almost walked right back out). It’s quite possible this was a unique situation and possibly one beyond their control. Unfortunately, the food was average at best and the quality and freshness of fish was a bit questionable. We love going out for great sushi, and sadly this just wasn’t it for us."
