"We visited F + F Pizza for lunch recently and found everything to be great. Our waiter, Francois, was very hospitable and knowledgeable. We were lucky to get a table right next to the open-air window, as the restaurant was full. The restaurant itself is fairly small, so you should call ahead if you are planning to go.After looking over their menu, we ordered the following. We started with 2 small salads. I had the Greek salad, very fresh and loaded with Romaine lettuce, black olives, red onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and feta ($6.00). My wife opted for their Caesar Salad ($7.00), which had croutons, fresh lettuce, bacon and plenty of freshly shaved parmasean cheese. She loved it. Both salads came with 2 small wedges of their pizza dough with Italian seasoning.For our pizzas, my wife chose their "La Poulet Coriandre" ($16.00) while I wanted to try their "La Habs" ($17.00). Both were very good (9 inch pizzas). We were very full from the salads and only managed to eat half. We took the rest home. Paul, the new owner for the past few months, told me that he is around almost all the time to make sure that his customers, in the restaurant and also those phoning in for delivery, are all happy and content. They open daily at 11 am and will now be running summer hours. Check out the variety of pizzas as they all sounded great. Paul also told me that they are thinking of making a pizza for 2 and possibly some homemade calzone. We will have to wait and see.Hope you enjoy the pizza!"

"We had dinner tonight at Via Dante, on the street of the same name in the heart of Montreal's PetiteItalie. We arrived 15 minutes before our reserved time and were greeted by Dominic behind the front counter. There were no tables, so we went for a walk. We came back on time and it still took about ten minutes for us to be seated. And then, boy, were we well taken care of! We were walked through the menu, and then Dominic came to our table to ask if he could make up a special antipasto for us - it was sooo good. An insalata mista with prosciutto, then amazing meatballs, followed by lasagna with tomatoand eggplant. Amazing! Our mains were delicious, too: the spaghetti with calamari and shrimp, and the orecchiette alla Norma. Both were excellent. By then we were pretty full and so ordered espresso and asked for the bill. It came with 2 Italian cookies and 2 mini cannolis. I love it when you go to a restaurant and they go out of their way to give you a wonderful taste experience and make you feel right at home. We left our hearts at Via Dante."

"California Pizza is about halfway the distance between where my husband and I work, and we've been meeting there for lunch once or twice a week for the past couple of years. We both agree that they have the BEST thin-crust pizza in Montreal, in fact, the best thin-crust pizza we've had almost anywhere. Why? Probably the pizza man, who really knows his stuff! The crust is cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven, nice and crispy, but not hard... the toppings are just right, not overloaded, and the ingredients are fresh... we usually get a mista salad or a caesar, both are good, and the expresso is excellent! To top it all off, the staff are friendly and the price is right!"
