"I kind of love this place. Excellent paella, good service, open on holidays. I went in here on a whim because it was one of the few places open on Memorial Day. I got the paella volcanica, and it was a mountain of food plated on a shovel . The seafood was delicious, especially with the spices and the accompanying salsas."

"It's one of those special places where you can actually get real Mexican food legitimate Mexican food! The tastiest in the Mission District authentic in every which way you could hope! There is everything here to Delight the taste buds! Problem is you can't just eat and run you almost want to stay permanently! Their tacos are the best along with all the condiments whether you like it hot or Mild they have everything you could want to put on a taco! The staff is always very friendly and helpful! Can't wait to get back and it's of all places in the Mission District the heart of the Latino community!"

"Located at corner of 24th and Shotwell, the restaurant offers a variety of Mexican food. You can get tacos, burritos and well liked super quesadillas here. The service is fast and there are good seats. Parking around could be a challenge though."

"Fantastic, unassuming spot with truly delicious and hard-to-find Mexican specialties. The Mission taquerias may get all the hype, but why fight the crowds there when you can get your delicious taqueria staples (carne asada here is awesome) like tacos, burritos, nachos, tortas, and quesadillas, as well as rare dishes like camarones a la diabla (slightly sweet, VERY tasty) and the molcajetes, which you can get in rojo or verde sauces. I have a slight preference for rojo but both are superb, well worth sharing with a friend or two. I didn't have a go-to spot for Mexican food until now; I'm so glad to find it in my neighborhood!"

"Stopped by La Laguna Taqueria after volunteering at the Marin Food Bank with some coworkers in the morning.The man behind the counter (presumably the owner) was incredibly inviting and friendly, and full of great recommendations. This place is apparently known for their carnitas, but unfortunately, I don't eat pork and was unable to try it. I opted instead for two simple Carne Asada Tacos.The Carne Asada definitely wasn't the best I've ever had (I usually prefer my carne asada with a slight char, but I really appreciated how much they fulled up their tacos with meat, it was almost overflowing, my boss even made four full looking tacos with the two stacked tortillas. The tomatillo sauce on top was also very spicy and flavorful, which made the tacos even better.Definitely will come back when I volunteer again, if for nothing else but support a great small business in the area."
