"Amazing place to go for a meal. The environment is nice, the staff is really friendly and very polite (quite amazed how polite the young staff were yo be honest). The food was really good, i had a the seafood risotto which was really delicious and everyone else had great things to say abouy their food. I really recommend this place."

"Of us had a meal on new years eve and the staff were accommodating and told us up front that the kitchen would close at of us ordered belly pork which included a Yorkshire pudding and a selection of market vegetables and...we paid at the till before the meal. Unfortunately the dishes were brought out without the Yorkshire puddings and with just green beans for the veg. We were told that the chef had a different menu and that yorkshire puddings were not on that menu. No offer of an alternative was made and the apology seemed a little late/half hearted. This is a shame because the belly pork itself was very tasty (gravy slightly oversalted) and there were no complaints about the vegetarian sausage dish or the risotto also ordered."

"Good carvery plenty of choice. Puddings were forgotten......half an hour wait for a chocolate fudge cake and a crumble while every table around you get their food is really annoying! No apology was really poor. The hundreds of good reviews for The Crown are clearly deserved but maybe they are a victim of their own success as there weren't enough staff who knew what was going on working on a very busy Sunday lunch."
