"We had dinner here on our 2nd night in Versailles and this was again a Trip Advisor recommendation. We took advantage of their table d'hote 3 course dinner and had quite a choice to make. This is quite a small restaurant and could be described as intimate and there is a farming theme to the decor.The food was very good - I had a prawn starter and my wife had the pate, I had a very large steak and my wife had pork and we finished with apple tart. Very good value, tasty food, large portions and the service was just right - not slow but also not too speedy!"

"We spent a drink and eat on the terrace on 05/06/2017. I've never seen such an unpleasant server, no smiles or hello, no professionalism. We felt like disturbing him while there was almost no one (I now understand why.) more, sincerely making remarks about other customers while everyone hears you, sorry but it doesn't! To escape!"

"I didn't enjoy my experience at Le Bassin de Neptune. We ate an early lunch here after enjoying a lovely morning at the Chateau. We weren't looking for anything in particular, just something away from the train station where we assumed most of the tourist traps are. I guess we didn't walk far enough away from the Chateau, as this place was nothing special, over-priced (for the quality), and had mediocre service. My Croquet Monsieur was the worse of the three that I had during my 7-day visit in France.A trip to the men's room revealed a "junky" food prep area. Oh, and the men's toilet was just a porcelain hole in the floor; my first and only experience of that nature in France."
