"Giuseppe catered a party I attended last night. I've had his food before (Museum Cafe in LJ, Caroline's, Candor) and it's always amazing. Until last night, I hadn't attended an event catered by him. It was really the best I've ever had. The appetizers were scrumptious and perfect, each and every one. The staff was lovely. The meal, which was buffet style, also incredible. The salad, several notches above what even a typical good salad is. My husband had salmon and said it was delicious. I had the braised beef (I think that's what it was called). So delicious. Both had a beautiful sauce. There was focaccia, roasted veggies, beautiful mashed potatoes. After, they tray-passed adorable mini desserts. The carrot cake was to die for. Hard to eat just one! I'm very glad I made it to this party. I saw the menu ahead of time and changed other plans to attend. Just perfect!"

"Simple. Humble. Absolutely incredible. Civico digs deep into their roots to create honest, delicious and authentic Italian food. With a rustic, yet modern setting, you feel at home yet you know this is elevated dining, without being too fancy. Once you taste the food, (and the drinks! , you know they understand exactly what they?re doing when they serve you. Needless to say, I was without a doubt pleased and enjoyed every second of my meal. I literally just stumbled into Civico while walking around Little Italy, and I?m so glad I did."

"Non vegetarian friendly overpriced for unflattering vegetarian option. I ordered a caponata and a linguine with pesto sauce. Caponata was tasteful. Vegetarian options regular dishes without the meat without price adjustment. Street parking was hard to get, I paid for my parking lot in the end. The staff recommended to get Linguine with Pesto with shrimp, but without the shrimps, and I paid the original price of $22,95 for this dish. I thought that was overpriced for mediocre pasta with pesto sauce. I noticed a lot of supposedly homemade pasta was in broken pieces, most noodle pieces were about 2-4 long. For a $23-plate, I expected my linguins to be long and not broken. The reason for the staff was because the kitchen turned the noodles. If this was the quality of twisting, my feedback was either the kitchen 't do it right or if they 't do it right, then don't twist. The service was great. The staff was attentive and friendly."
