"Cafe Gerlach is a café in the bakery Gerlach. It is cozy and centrally located in the pedestrian area. The service was friendly. It's self-service. In the Café Gerlach you can eat breakfast or coffee and cakes. I took a break during my city break, ate a sandwich and drank a coffee. The food is always very good there. The ambience is very beautiful. The café is modern and there are even a few cozy armchairs and a sofa. Cleanliness is fine, there was nothing to complain about. The value for money is good."

"This restaurant is in a little old medieval building that is modernized inside with white banquettes along the walls and therefore makes a larger appearance than it is. We had an early supper there and I had the Jaegerschnitzel which is a pork cutlet with...mushroom sauce. It was a huge portion and comes accompanied by applesauce and fries. The only vegetable available was a a zucchini medley and I had that instead of the ubiquitous fries. A salad was also included. Otherwise vegetables are not in demand.......We also tried some potato latkes as an accompaniment and they were very good. Food was generally greasy but good. They apparently specialize in steaks beef but since I can get them better in the USA I didn't try any. It is old fashioned German cookery. They also have lots of different typesbrands of beers"
