"Such a cozy and beautifully decorated little cafe! I feel like I'm in a Ghibli movie here. Place is a bit small so I can see it getting pretty full easily, so if you're planning to eat in, it might be better to go earlier. I ordered the omurice with demiglace, and it was pretty good, but I wouldn't say it was spectacular. I also ordered the melona drink which was refreshing and also got some cheese tarts which were super yummy. I originally wanted to try a teaccino but they were out of cheese foam : But overall, super cute spot!"

"Very small dining room so be aware of your discussions lol. To start I had the scallops with bacon risotto, incredible flavor perfectly cooked and presented. My date had the Witloof salad, candied walnuts and aged gouda shavings, she enjoyed it immensely. For main course we had the steelhead, cooked rare and with love, very nice. I had the tenderloin and shortrib, i found the portion size to be a tad small for $43 though. The tenderloin was a little tough when i cut it, cooked perfect at medium rare though, just i have at much better filet cuts at the Onyx in White Rock and Global downtown. The shortrib however was bursting with rich slow cooked flavor goodness. (2 small strips maybe 2-3 oz under the tenderloin) Keep in mind these portions are not big by any means so make sure you have a starter. Creme Brulee was unremarkable, i did not finish. The only other thing that could use improvement is the servers trying to rush you to order, and the 5oz wine pours for $10. Cmon really? Coffee served in a french press was very good, $174 for 2 appys, 2 mains, 4 small glasses of wine, 1 port, 1 dessert, 1 coffeeTaxes and tip out the door at $225 approx"

"My husband and I always go for lunch and coffee after a bike tour to the mountain (Burnaby Mountain, this is). The staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is great (i.e. quiet) for a good conversation. We love soups and croissant with provolone... all made on site fresh every time. And the coffees (latte and cappuccino are our favorites) are high quality and better than Starbucks! Very recommended."
