"I love going to Friedlieb and daughters for coffee and cake. They have delicious homemade cakes and cakes. The only con is that you pay 't with debit/credit card and it's self-service. Although it has a very special atmosphere and is really beautifully decorated! Great...for young and old, couples, families and singles: !"

"Cafe Traxlmayr was an institution lang before I was born. And that's quite some time ago.Many hours of my youth were spent in the two rooms getting my grips on chess and cards. Summer was the time of the "Stage" as we calles the outdoor part.Comeing back is always a bit sad because time HAVE changed the place ... there is a seperation between the 2 rooms ... to conform to the smokeing laws in austria. But some things still hab survived and those are the reasons I still like to spend time there.Let me explain: As austrian you don't go to the Cafe to get a coffee ... or eat. You got there to spend time! Sometimes with friends, sometimes with complete strangers you happen to come to talk to. And sometimes alone ... just to read, watch oder generally have a good time.It's like a livingroom for all visitors.And YES still many good dicussions and talks are beeing held ... but still ... manny more plain simple and idle gossiping goes on ;)But that's what it is about! Don't rush! Don't try to experiance as much as possible in as short as possible time!Slow down ... breath ... look ... and you will find the magic of austrian coffee-houses is still working and VERY alive in Cafe Traxlmayr."

"I saw the sign in the window and took refuge from the elements at Tea Time. I was literally the only male/foreigner in the place. I got the tort and a cappuccino and was quickly on my way. Good service, good tort, good rid dens. The little piazza (in front of Martin Luther's Church) was neat in the snow."
