"We had just left the Cardhu Distillery and was looking for somewhere to grab a Sandwich. Just minutes from the Distillery, we came across a roadside cafe called Archies Den. It has only been open for 3 weeks. Easy and free parking either on the street or around the corner by the Hotel. It is a small cafe. Home made soup and local produce meals. It sells Rizza's Ice Cream. Very tasty. Spotted Afternoon Tea for 2 at £10. Well, it was excellent value. Proper sandwiches, not tiny slivers, a choice of home made scones with jam and cream and several home made biscuits plus tea and a cappuccino for me. Well, we were stuffed! Bargain at £10. Would recommend if you have kids and on a budget. Very simple decor and very friendly staff.Sells other bits and bobs as well, including sweets."

"After reading the reviews we opted to enjoy a '5 star lunch ' on a day of 24 degree temperatures along the Moray Coast following several attempts to eat in Cullen after 2pm !!! The service was diabolical, the food choice limited as they had ran out of many of their menu choices baguettes ??? come on stale lettuce and flavourless cheese. The ultimate was a cold drinks fridge that was 'broken '. We had to wait so long for the food to be prepared that the water and coke we had was near boiling. All round not a good choice and best avoided"
