"Very tasty reasonably priced galettes. The salmon leeks one is delicious! And whatever you choose, accompany it with a bowl of cider! Small place, not always easy to find a table, but cosy atmosphere great staff (both the owner waitress are charming). Quality is much better than the competition on Rue Vasselot, and service is incomparably friendlier! What a difference it makes!"

"Welcomed by a charming and nice waitress, at the entrance I enjoyed a butter cake in which I found the flavors of my grandfather. The products seemed fresh, and quickly arrived from the bilig to my plate. However, at my wife's big dam, I found that the scab was more a scabby and lacked cohesion in the mouth. The dessert was garnished with a crêpe with homemade frangipane and caramel that brought me straight to the epiphany."

"To be honest, it's the best pancake I've ever tasted for a while! The cakes are delicious with organic options and a lot of choice. Crêpes are super fine and greedy. Finally, servers are really in small care without being pressed or too present. Let's not forget the frame that is a dove building! In conclusion I really recommend this crêperie that offers fresh and tasty products for very affordable prices!"

"We walked by La Paix often throughout our week in Rennes, but didn’t stop in to eat until our last day, and I’m glad we did. We were having a lazy day, sleeping in, and didn’t go out until 12:30pm, when we took a walk to see the river and the Porte Mordelaises (unfortunately closed off right now for renovation). At about 1:30pm, we headed back toward our apartment, planning to stop at a restaurant for lunch. However, most restaurants were finishing up lunch service, so I realized we needed to find a restaurant with service continu (a restaurant that doesn’t stop serving between lunch and dinner). I remembered noting previously that La Paix was service continu, so we headed over to République. We ordered a pichet of vin rouge and a bottle of Perrier while deciding on food. Husband ordered Soupe de Poissons to start, followed by Risotto aux Fruits de Mer. He said both were excellent. I started with Terrine de Campagne, which was quite good, but the Star was my main of Poulet Roti. More than just a simple roast chicken, it had crispy skin and a savory sauce that soaked into the mound of shoestring frites that accompanied it. Outstanding. For dessert, I had a Cafe Liegois, something I had been craving after seeing someone having one at another restaurant earlier in the week. Basically an elegant sundae in a tall glass, it combined vanilla and coffee ice cream, coffee syrup, and a mound of freshly whipped cream. Not an every day dessert, but a great treat. Now, this was a rather expensive lunch at €100, so definitely a splurge. But since we ate in our apartment for about half our meals (cooked or just had cheese charcuterie), and also enjoyed more affordable meals out at other restaurants, I don’t regret the splurge, and I found the quality of the meal worth it."
