"As a Castleford local, I have often passed this cafe but it's either been after it closed or when I've not had time to stop. Today, however, I decided to call in and am glad I did. The staff are very pleasant, my bacon.and mushroom sandwich was cooked to perfection and as a former coffee house manager the quality of the latte gets a big thumbs up from me! Every town has a hidden gem and this is definitely Castleford's! Thank you ladies, I'll definitely be back!"

"Ordered via the McDonalds app. Food was delivered by Uber Eats. It took over an hour to arrive, when it arrived some of the order was missing and the food was cold. Tried to microwave it but friest and nuggetss aren't good reheated. The McFlurries and Milkshakes are never available. We tried Burger King for a change this week and everything arrived in 15 mins, piping hot and no missing items! McDonalds... shame on you! If you try to complain you get nowhere as McDonalds refer you to Uber Eats and Uber Eats refer you back to McDonalds. Don't waste your money, if you must have a Maccies go through the drive through and if you want a milkshake or McFlurry prepare to be disappointed!"

"I was charged for the meal they then came back and said I hadn’t paid enough so the supposedly voided the transaction, they then charged me the correct amount. When I got home I checked my bank accounts and the had taken the money out twice, I went back and they insisted that it was void, I contacted my bank and the agreed they had taken the money. It took a month but the bank got the money back for me. Please be careful when paying by card"

"This is an excellent little English Tea Shop. My wife and I often visit for lunch and we always receive a warm welcome. My wife is coeliac so the wide range of gluten free food on offer is very welcome. The soup is always gluten free and is served with gluten free bread. Gluten free sandwiches, paninis, cakes are always available. Even when busy, which is pretty well every visit, a drinks order is taken within a couple of minutes of sitting down. The food is always freshly prepared whether it is an omelette, a sandwich or whatever. This is a little oasis in Pontefract and well worth a visit."

"Called in here recently for a late lunchtime bite a coffee. At around 2pm it was pretty quiet so a good time to sit relax in a comfy armchair. I had a fairly standard roast beef mustard panini which was very tasty made completely fresh. No pre prepared ones here. The hummus of the day was delicious, it had pieces of mango in it which I thought was really different not being a hummus expert but I really enjoyed it. The panini took what seemed like ages even though I was the only person there so I had finished my cappuccino before the panini arrived which is my only negative comment."
