"Italy 1 will always have a special place in my heart. In 2013 it was the first fancy restaurant I had been to. Before that point my experience of eating out was mainly cheap Chinese food and takeaway meals. Italy 1 would have helped me become the Zomato reviewer I am today. <br/ <br/ The first time I went to Italy 1 was Valentine’s Day of 2013. We went here because my boyfriend at the time hadn’t made a booking at any restaurant but we were able to get the last table available at Italy 1. I remember being in a daze of how nice everything was. The Valentine’s Day menu that year was delicious. During that time I got to try the Marinara which was delicious. <br/ <br/ Fast forward to 2018. Dimmi has a 50% off the total bill special at Italy 1 to celebrate July Restaurant month. Of course I couldn’t miss this opportunity to return to Italy 1. I invited my best friend out for dinner. I was happy to see the same owner was still there. I of course ordered the Marinara and guess what? It tasted exactly just the same as what it did in 2013! What a beautiful dish and reminded me why Italy 1’s Marinara is my favourite that I’ve tried so far. For dessert we had the chocolate pudding, it was delicious, one of the best desserts I’ve had this year. <br/ <br/ Thank you Italy 1 for still being the same! Will hopefully visit sooner than another 5 years. Haha."
