"Beautiful restaurant in a converted house. It serves farm to table items. For breakfast go with the Quiche Lorraine. It's the only way to go and has great portions. The other sandwiches are great, but nowhere at the level of this quiche it is amazing. Inside or outside, but the inside has so much character."

"It's a small restaurant with fantastic food! I wasn't too happy with my waitress though. She didn't roll out the dessert display like her fellow co-workers did for their tables. I felt rushed when she brought the check. I didn't ask her to bring any boxes or the check but here she was with everything need to get out! No honey I wanted some dessert. It's nothing but a tip change when that happens. Lol however over all the restaurant is very nice and the food was great. Especially that dessert ?"

"What a gem! Beautiful little Italian Bistro. The food was great quality and really delicious. (We had Calamari, Veal Marsala, and Grouper Francaise with Linguini). Professional, friendly, timely service. We visited for the first time this week, getting there late on a weeknight. Although we were dressed down, coming from a ball game, and were the last 2 customers of the night, they were very welcoming and did not make us feel rushed. Ambiance was equal to a fine dining Authentic Italian restaurant in Little Italy. Nicely decorated, fine dining quality table settings. A great place for a date night or business lunch. They have a room that can be sectioned for a gathering/party. Prices were reasonable. They started around $8 appetizers, around $12-18 for small plates to $20-$30 for full meals."

"I like this place. With a few tweaks, could love it. Contemporary interior design. Outstanding selection of wines. Prompt and attentive service. Need to work more with servers on how to open bottles. Pizza was tasty. Would have been better if they had left it in the oven one or two more minutes to make the crust crispy. Only place I have been where suggested tip is based on total bill after-sales tax."

"I recently dined at Root in Georgetown, SC, and I'm thrilled to report an exceptional experience. The service was unparalleled – truly some of the best I've encountered since moving to the area 2.5 years ago.As for the food, I indulged in the Shrimp and Grits, a delicious medley of sausage, onions, bell peppers, and fresh local caught shrimp, all luxuriously tossed in a creamy white wine butter sauce over white cheddar grits. Every bite was a celebration of flavor, perfectly balanced and sumptuously satisfying. For $26.00, it's a dish I wholeheartedly recommend.Root has earned a regular spot on my dining rotation, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!"
