"This restaurant is located at AZ Hwys Best of AZ 2010, which is why we tried it on a day trip to Sedona. It started well. The decor and ambience, while a bit dark at the tables is strong on Spanish Italian influences. Pull-off points to go over the service area to our back-room table, instead of through the front dining room. The Antipastis: the grilled artichoke with lemon Pesto aioli was excellent and the Affinato, Radicchio with Croatian fig marmalade mozzarella cheese rolled in Prosciuttio and grilled would have been excellent, except one of the reels was not thoroughly grilled to melt the cheese. The Vitello Justino, thin calfs with mushrooms, Gorgonzola and Orzo riso was excellent. Tender is a beautiful Marsala. Like an article I can't call because while it was a regular menu item, it doesn't appear on the website menu. It consisted of chicken penne with vegetables in a chipolte cream sauce. I had one of the nightly specialties, a mahi mahi mahi with green beans and orzo riso. Mushy fish ruined the court. My dessert was a flourless chocolate cake. I had several restaurants all over the country and they can be quite different. The interior of this was more pudding consistency than cake, although the taste was good. The port paired with it was a great disappointment, very surprising as they have an Award of Excellence, 2007 by Wine Spectator. As a “chocolate harbour”, while a ruby, it had the strong alcohol bite of a Tawny that I did not enjoy. I would recommend combining a Graham's port with chocolate (A Grahams with some chocolate can not beat! either the Grahams Six Grapes or their vintage port. The service was good, but not from the fine detail we expect from a restaurant of this level."

"I am not a seafood fan, but we have dined at Shorebird in the past and enjoyed it. We recently took our son and his wife. He is from Chicago and is very refined in his tastes (picky! . He and his wife loved it! We also took friends from out of town who loved it as well. The patio is definitely my favorite area to be…..beautiful views and great service!!Parking: Easily accessible."

"The food was very good and the staff was friendly! We frequent Sedona multiple times a year and this was our first time trying HP Cafe because we get into a routine for where we like to eat, but we were glad we tried something new! We went for breakfast and the had some cocktails (which were half price! and the food was delicious and came quickly. My husband wanted something off menu and they accommodated him with ease. We will try this place for lunch next time we are in town!"
