"First, the good points; The front of house staff were delightful and the breakfast tea was superb. Unfortunately however the kitchen and food were hopeless. We waited close to an hour for our food to arrive, and then it was average at best. Meals described...in the menu as including two eggs, arrived with one. Welsh Rarebit on toast had solidified. Baked beans were a small pot of mainly juice. Disappointed we wasted a valuable hour of our bank holiday. There are many better places to eat in Hove."

"Went here late one evening to try their deserts as we had heard great things. They did not disappoint! The caramel pecan pie was up there with the best deserts I’ve ever eaten! Staff were brilliant and really polite, the place had a discrete American military theme about it. Didn’t try the food but the desert menu was something special, milkshakes weren’t as thick or flavoursome as we had hoped as we heard from others they were the best in town. Thumbs up from us!"

"You know the TV programme Cheers .... where everybody knows your name etc. Well, at this lovely Cafe it 's the same! And that is in addition wonderful coffee and food. My mother just especially loves the homemade cakes and caramel slices and the dog gets a watering bowl too! Thank you and see you again later in the week!"

"Will I have been coming back? yes, absolutely. the overall experience is very good, even if there are some mängel that was eating delicious? 3 of 5 there were distinct differences in the quality of food. the appetizers with makrelen nadaja and fischtempura were very good. the main course seafood board for two disappointments with the content. £60 for 8 garnel, two dozen mush and half an hour full of roasted tinted fish is too much. the dessert avogado was somewhat disappointing, as the vanilleeis was full of (water) ice crystals. the weinliste was again very positiw, with a large selection and cheap price-performance ratio: 4 out of 5 we paid £160 for a two person 3-set lunch, with wein and aperitif. still ok. Service style: 5 out of 5 nice, friendly, real friendly. good suggestions for wine selection. atmosphere: 5 out of 5 amazing settings on the veranda/terrace with view of the sea. tables not too crowded. comments: the salt room is more about its beautiful environment at the brighton waterfront and beautiful service as excellent cuisine. nice service and good food overall, but quite expensive to eat make it a recommendation in brighton."

"The people in the hop vine are beautiful, they make wonderful pizzas, plus many other options. big specialties, big wine selection, a brilliant selection of cocktails (including the classic,) be on tap, big coffee. all in a wonderful location in the heart of fiveways. as an example, our party of 6. garlic bread, olive, whitebait, four cheese pizza, American hot pizza, huhn caesar salat, half-when and fries, burger and chips, brownies, salted caramel ice cream, cappuccino brulé, red wine, white wine, bier, kosmopolitan, margarita, mojito!"
