"The Dutch syrup waffles make for a delicious ice cream sandwich. We had the boysenberry sorbet and hazelnut ice cream and both were great. Going by the amount of awards on the wall you can't go wrong with anything you choose here."

"Yvette catered our wedding of 160 people and did amazing! The paella was very affordable, dietary friendly (vegan and gluten free option and beyond delicious. The serving process was extremely smooth (smoothest our day of coordinator has ever seen and guests loved being able to watch the cooking process. It has been a month and our guests are still talking about how incredible the paella was and that they have never been so satisfied with wedding food before. Many of them even went back for 3rd and 4th servings and we had more than enough food for everyone (even leftovers! . We had a couple fly in from Spain who said 'this is the real deal! '. Thank you Yvette for making our day memorable!"

"Loved this cafe with many vegan options. Loved the breakfast plate with sautéed mushrooms and spinach, beans, avocado and toast. Also had the jackfruit plate that was delicious. Will be going back again soon."

"Had breakfast here once during our stay and while the food was okay, the service could use a little work. It had a vibe like regulars come here often and they were confused by us weird foreigners coming and ordering more than one flat white! : The outside dining area was very peaceful though and I probably would return here for breakfast if in the area again."

"I was promised the best coffee in the city and it was! we had a wonderful meal, the workers were happy, a small part of the breakfast, and the pumpkin soup that mine was raised. thanks morrison is for a nice experience."

"‘Flames on 40 Restaurant Bar’ in Nelson NZ, was an unknown to us, but very handy for a quick dinner, so we decided to give it a go best thing we’ve done!! The greeting was welcoming and friendly. To start, staff suggested some nice wine and beer (brands we didn’t know), they were great and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Food choices didn’t disappoint either, and were delivered in good time, hot and delicious spinach and ricotta gnocchi, plus amazing pan fried salmon with prawns and mash. Hubby and I were both really impressed that everything just seemed to line up great food, beautiful wine, smiling and friendly staff who knew exactly what they were doing, and such a great overall experience! Certainly wouldn’t hesitate to go there again or recommend Flames on 40 Restaurant to others. First class"
