"Unfortunately, I believe we received what 's known as the Black Treatment . I had heard about this all my life, but didn 't think I would ever be the recipient of such treatment in my life. We chose to take my little granddaughter out for breakfast, thus mom and Dad selected Truxton 's Santa Monica location. As grandma, I selected to get there early and make arrangements for our cozy party of six. It was anything but hospitable! I was seated at a table for about 20 minutes and not one waiter came to ask if I wanted water or coffee or anything! The Manager or possibly the owner watched from her viewing point as she directed her small staff to cater to other diners who came in after I was seated. When my family arrived I was ready to leave, but didn 't want to spoil the party. At best, the food was not top drawer and several items were not available! My daughter asked if there was anything special for a birthday girl and it was No at first until 2 lovely senior citizens chimed in and saved the day. Then, the manager/ proprietor smiles and puts on a great act of hospitality!! Never Again! Too little Too late!! I will never tolerate this kind of behavior anywhere! If you 're not treated Right, Leave immediately! Don 't give them your money!!"
