"Really great food and love the ambience! We stumbled over this restaurant in the evening and decided to try it. They have tables outside with heat lamps (major plus) and the waiter welcomed us immediately. I have the SPAGHETTI NERI (Squid Ink, Calamari, Garlic, Calabria spicy paprika, oven-dried Roma tomatoes, Bottarga) and it was delicious! Must eat things from the sea to appreciate this dish as it is tasteful. We also have the tomato remover who was nutritious and tasty. And her homemade pizza and biscotti too. Left feeling satisfied. And happy to try a new great restaurant."

"I wasn't sure if I was to rate this place 4 or five stars. This Restuarant has great Italian cuisine, but the important aspect of this place is its location. It is in an excellent location for Berkeley students to take Italian food without going to some chic Italian Restuarant. The prices are great for the type of food you receive, and for the amount you receive. There is usually a big line, and tables can sometimes be scarce, but that should not stop people from going to this place. There are not many places in Berkeley for fast Italian cuisine, so I highly recommend this place. In my opinion, your calzone is also a ridiculous size for the price. So if you like Calzone!"

"Their fried pizza is really something special to try! Very thin and crispy, rich cheese, amazing! The service is also wonderful, people working there remember the names of their regular customers, and it feels so nice there! They also have great beer!"

"Venezia was a nice return to Italian food as it was a while since I eat Italian. It was much nicer than I expected when I entered and had amusing decor – like pigeons, a linen line and only an Italian feeling. The food was kind of expensive, but that seems to be the usual case with Italian. Waiting for food also took a while, but it was a nice place, and I usually don't expect to get out quickly in a beautiful place. The sweet potato soup was a beautiful starter, though not spectacular. When the food came out, it looked out and smells delicious. I was glad that we had 5 people and we all ordered things that I wanted to try (there are still more I want to try, though =D. Despite some criticism of the ignoring of the spaghetti alla Carbonara (it has eggs and bacon and ordered a meatless eggplant dish (I think the name is somewhere around eggplant rollatin, I did not regret my order. The cheese in the eggplant is particularly good. The other dishes were also quite delicious, with the bobotia the most interesting. Overall a good experience."
