"A small unique restaurant on this pedestrianised street on the edge of the old town. We chanced upon Glouglou while following directions to another recommended restaurant which did not appeal or seem very popular when we got there and on retracing our steps were fortunate to secure a table at what is clearly a popular place; plenty of reserved tables and French speakers at all the tables. The restaurant was run by two young energetic, enthusiastic and passionate young men. The blackboard menu provided details of the the three starter, three main course and two dessert options. We ordered local pale ale beer and some wine. The food was quite simply divine. I had the agneau riz nuggets for starter followed by tuna in a sublime tomato gazpacho soup. It was the highlight of our short overnight stay in Orleans."

"But where are our good square and so good cookies!!! I am disappointed with the new consept the new cookies are small and nothing to see at taste level. What a shame I'm gonna have to buy my kids' taste at the competition."

"Conveniently located in the main central square in Orleans. We were welcomed in by the waiting staff, who were all friendly enough and very patient with our basic French and indecisiveness over lunch choices. The food came in good time and was of an acceptable standard for the price. Fish of the day with a Hollandaise sauce and Julienned vegetables was well cooked and tasty. The Tagliatelle Carbonara chosen by the "fussy" child was "absolutely delicious" she said. She particularly liked the egg on top and managed to polish off most of an adult portion - almost in unheard of. Tart Tatin with vanilla ice cream was glorious and the coffee was good. Decor inside was slightly quirky, comfortable, with some interestingly anachronistic portrait photos adorning the walls. The Maitre d' was actually very helpful and patient. All in, a good experience for a family of four."
