"I booked a romantic evening meal here, as it was Valentine's Day, we’d not called in before, having seen the restaurant from a distance passing thro'. The venue has character, has a warmth and cosy feeling as you walk thro'. The staff were all extremely helpful and attentive, nothing was too much trouble, they also listened and interacted with us both, the whole ambience in the actual restaurant was also special given the occasion and was well prepared. My partner and I really did enjoy a fantastic meal from the evening’s menu, served up with a complimentary glass of rose champagne (given the occasion! every aspect of the food was prepared presented well, it was a very palatable experience, all with the correct portions I hasten to add, oh! the dessert, simple as it was, was to die for very yummy! amazing!! We both thoroughly enjoyed the evening, it was fun and we had a laugh! It was also very affordable, great value! I can’t fault the whole experience, Yes!! I would gladly recommend the venue and yes!! we’re both looking forward to going back very soon."

"I wish I had made a picture of our eating and I wished more that there was a bella italia near me, although my tail tells me that there is no just as good. two days ago we had pizzas and all of us were of the opinion that this was the best 'Eat-out 'pizza we've ever had and trusted me, we tried a few today we went for pasta. there were all kinds of posh pasta dishes, but I went down the straight too pollo e funghi and oh my good it was fabulous, thick creamy sauce. with garlic bread and a glass of red to die a dish."

"We’re lucky enough to know Riccardo and the superb Al Boccon Venetian Wedding Feast concept from its origins at Richmond, and it delights me to be able to confirm it has travelled very well out to Wiltshire. All the elements are there a panoply...of at least a dozen beautifully conceived and prepared courses of simple Italian cuisine, introduced and served with his inimitable panache by the Propietor. From peppers to truffled pasta to aubergines to langoustines to scallops, building cleverly to the masterpiece of roast suckling pig, served juicily with its unique thin crackling and potatoes. My choice of dessert was the proper, homemade Tiramisu, served in a glass jar. From previous experience we took our host’s recommendations for the various complementary wines to enjoy as the courses unfolded each one introduced with a knowledgeable flourish, then Riccardo slammed the Grappa glasses on the table and we knew we’d made it to the finishing line! It’s crazy, but trust me it works. The grub is exemplary and the experience itself is beyond theatre it’s almost like a Magic Show!"

"If I can give this place 0 stars I would. Reserved a table for 730pm place empty and chef sitting on chair in corner on his phone. Took several minutes and a few hellos to get anyone’s attention. Order starters and pizza which took rather long . When ordering we checked if pizza had pine nuts. Waitress checked with kitchen and said yes. (Last time they had none so ordered something g different) however when pizza arrived it was covered with chopped peanuts instead which were also raw on a cold pizza. Food unseasoned and chef tried to suggest the pesto contains pine nuts instead. Constantly making excuses. Attitude towards us as customer was really poor. We asked to take our pizza and leave. Both pizzas stuffed in one box piled up. Obviously ripped to fit in box by staff. Then was charged a 15 service charge because we asked for a box ?? For those weary of allergies. This chef is not able to comprehend that there are possibly people coming to your place who may have some knowledge of food and grew up in Italy so understood your mumbled Italian comment"
