"The place had a really nice holiday ambiance. However, when my partner was asked for a clear crepe with lemon and butter with some pulverized sugar, she served one without lemon and granulated sugar. That was after her request was confirmed by the customer... On the bright side my crepe with strawberry and bananas was delicious and perfect. The burger we ordered was big and tasteful, but the tomatoes that were served with it had seen better days. They were muddy and inedible, completely distracted from the meal as a whole. This place would have earned a much better rating, but it wasn't in the cards today... At least the place was clean and warm."

"Oh Marty… you broke my heart tonight…. I used to rave about this place (both the truck and Park Ave location had even booked the truck myself for an event a few years ago when trucks were just emerging on the scene in Roc.A lovely neighbor booked it tonight for a neighborhood get together. Apparently they arrived late to set up and were not ready to take orders as my fellow neighbors lined up… one menu item was not as advertised (was supposed to be a double burger… was a single, but no cost adjustment!? the poor staff has payment equipment that was not working and was sent with no cash for change. Host was promised gluten free items that were not available. Initially was told by staff that the host was “picking up the tab” but when I asked her directly she said, oh no!!Gathered my food a half hour after I arrived (I was 3rd in line!!! and when I got home to eat it all three meals were missing a side (cornbread and the sandwiches were sloppily thrown together.Marty’s was one of my favorite food trucks once upon a time, but it seems like this Roc staple is off to a sketchy start this summer."

"Just enjoyed a pulled pork sandwhich and jalapeno slaw at Surefire. The pulled pork was probably the best I 've had. Great flavor! But, this was my first BBQ since the covid-19 shut down so maybe that had something to do with how great it tasted, but I don 't think so, it was just real good. I tried 2 bbq sauces, Texas Hot and Honey Badger. They were both good but the Honey Badger was a little ketchupy and although good in flavor the Texas Hot was not very spicey. But the meat was so good I didn 't really use much sauce anyway. The jalapeno slaw has fresh jalapenos in it with a vinegar dressing. It was fairly light so there was a lot of cabbage flavor and not so much dressing flavor. I washed it down with a sweet tea that was very good. I would definitely eat here again.
