"Because we were not very hungry due to a late Arvo oyster bending session at blue eye. we came for some sushi rolls and entries. their roles were huge and really filling out. our Sydney restaurants are really embarrassed. we had the Suminato roll, the soft shell crab and the salmon Aburi roll. all highly recommended. the children wanted something udon, but they had only one option for udon and even that was sufficient and large amount recommended!"

"Last minute booking on a busy Thursday night. They squeezed us in. The most remarkable food experience in a waterfront location. Chose the 'feed me ' option. What followed was a Cascade of interesting delicious plates. Left feeling very well fed, relaxed and definitely keen to come back soon. Thanks guys."

"We don't normally eat at hotel restaurants but after a busy day sightseeing we decided not to go out but to eat at Charcoal at the RACV/RACT apart hotel where we were staying. And very glad we were at the end of our meal.Charcoal is nicely set up with tables set well apart. The surroundings are airy and pleasant.The menu is modern Australian (I had an excellent rib on the bone, cooked to my liking, a very generous serving). The wine list is well spread with emphasis on Tasmanian wines which by their nature are not cheap.Excellent service by female staff.Charcoal offers a good dining experience in pleasant surroundings at realistic prices.Recommended."

"Very beautiful as they are, the new owners do not have much about the guided tour of a restaurant. my wife and I expected a nice lunch on Friday, but went after 45 minutes or more. as a shame as the position is so good. everything from the...Menus to the toilets looks ashamed."
