"Went for our anniversary dinner. Arancini was good. However main courses were subpar. We ordered a shrimp Pasta ?fettucini, which was bitter. The Lamb shank was also quite tasteless other than the risotto. Tiramisu was good. With drinks, the Frankie Caesar was decent but we ordered a tequila based cocktail which tasted like tequilaseltzer water and quite unpalatable. Won’t be returning again"

"Small casual restaurant with room for 18 inside and similar on the patio (if weather okay). Small room with tables for 2 or 4. Atmosphere is purely Italian Bistro with the kitchen in the rear and the aromas are a tip off that you've found a good spot. Bar drinks are limited but traditional ie Negroni cocktails. Small menu but very good. On a busy night there are 5 people working 2 servers 2 chefs and 1 kitchen helper. Parking in Yaletown can be a problem Reservations recommended."

"Absolutely lovely experience at Ciopinno's to celebrate. We sat in an intimate patio space with attentive servers who provided great food recommendations. Most importantly, the pasta was tremendous and in my experience, the best in Vancouver. Despite being full after our 3 courses, we played with the idea of ordering another pasta plate. The only challenge was getting a reservation a testament to their high quality and standards."

"For the past 15 years, we have been to Italy at least once a year. We love Italian food and spend a lot of money eating in Italy. So a lot of our friends ask us about our favourite Italian restaurant in Vancouver. Without a doubt: La Pentola. There are other very good Italian restaurants in town; but I think they are all over-priced, except La Pentola.La Pentola's Italian food is Northern Italian, particularly reminding us about Piedmont food. (By the way, we really love Piedmont food; how can food be wrong in a region between Italy and France?) Their pasta is house made, al dente all the time. Their wine list is not large but not over-priced. And the atmosphere is fantastic with tall windows wide open into Davie street. Finally, you can make reservations very last minute.Let me talk a bit about food. Last week we went there with relatives. We ordered the 5-course $55 menu. First course was one of our favourite appetizers: burrata, lots of it. Second course was grilled octopus, as well made as some of the best restaurants in Italy. Third course was tagliatelle with oxtail - exquisitely made. Fourth course was duck breast with beet sauce - very memorable duck breasts. The final course was a pistachio sorbet - extremely refreshing. All of these fantastic food for $55. We have been to La Pentola 20+ times. But what we had last week was truly memorable, prompting me to write a review for them!"

"We should go to a food truck event, but landed here and it was such a pleasant surprise. The staff was wonderful and the food, oh my God. The food was great! I have eaten a vegan mushroom risotto for the longest time, but most places here do it with Heave Cream. I could ask it without cheese and it came with the perfect consistency, texture and taste. You have more than just a few vegan options and my husband had a delicious vegan pasta that he was very satisfied. Of course, they have other options, and our non- vegan friends were thrilled with the taste and dish portions. The place is beautiful and beautiful, and the prices are very good for service and experience as a whole. Definitely recommend going there, you will not regret it! And if you go, get the Risotto. I'll be back."
