"We stopped here on the way up the A1, it being only a few minutes' drive away. There is some free parking outside but also some more free parking in Tuxford Working Men’s club, just around the corner. The cafe adjoins a sandwich and cake shop and the ladies running both were very friendly and helpful. Great coffee and a lovely full English Breakfast were quickly served up. Eggs, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, black pudding, tinned tomatoes (which I prefer), hash browns and a stack of delicious toast. The icing on the cake was a real fire. It was exactly what we had been hoping for. We had the large breafast and several drink refills. With all this, it was about £15 each,and worth it. We may very well stop in on our return trip!"

"Just been here for some lunch. Arrived at 12:50 ordered 2 Jacket potatoes, one with cheese and the other with chilli and cheese. One coffee and 1 tea. The drinks came after 5 mins but after asking five times when the food would be served, after being told each time, 2 mins or it 's on it 's way. We decided to ask for our money back. The owner was surly and took no responsibility for the long delay, 30 mins by this time, stating that they had a party in and were run off their feet. We had been there long before said party arrived. There were five staff working behind the counter and a lot of customers waiting for food. The 'Party ' appeared to take president over the other custumers. When at last the jacket potatoes arrived, they were cold and mine still had ice inside as it had not been properly cooked. Obviously frozen spuds not even fresh and cooked properly in the restraunt oven. What a dreadful experience shall never go there again or recommend it."

"We happened by chance on the chocolate kitchen and we didn't sample the chocolates, although they looked pretty good. but we have the coffee and walnut cakes: probably the best (and biggest I ever tasted) many thanks, my cholesterin still recovers. but it was worth it."
