"Lovely home-cooked place in a local restaurant with a great vibe and community feel. We were seated on a long table in the very heart of the restaurant and loved the friendly buzz. The staff were super nice and did everything they could to make us feel good. It was a Christmas meal and everything was home cooked and delicious. Turkey wasn't dry (although I had the veggie option) and lovely homemade stuffing. Sprouts cooked as I should really cook them if I could cook properly. We all loved it."

"Recently went to Lauderdale House for an event and had an amazing experience with great food and fantastic service. Until then I did not realise that the house had a cafe so with the event making such a great impact we decided that we would...pay the house another visit sometime. So this weekend we were back in Highgate visiting friends so decided to pay the little cafe a visit. Well we were not disappointed. There was a little bit of a wait to be served, as the cafe was busy, which is totally understandable on such a lovely sunny day. But once served we were greeted by two lovely friendly young lads who could not have been more helpful. We opted for a baguette and a panini, followed by some homemade cake and coffee. All totally delicious. I dont usually write reviews but I was so impressed by this little cafe tucked away in the beautiful park that I wanted to encourage all other readers to visit this little gem....on a beautiful sunny day this cafe, grounds and wonderful house make a brilliant stop over. As a added note the exhibition was also very interesting along with the history of the house cleverly explained by a little machine (sorry dont know the technical name of it) that is situated by the entrance."

"This is a very bad experience. I have a trip today, but the train is off around 17:00, so I wanna to find a cafe to stay and have something to eat. I arrived here around 10:00 and order a cup of coffee. After I finished, the staff was keeping coming and check if everything was fine, I knew they wanted me to order more if I planned to stay longer, thus I order a granola bowel, tbh I was too full to have it, so it cost me like more than 1 hour to finish it. After this, they were still keeping coming and ask me if I could like to order anything else. I said no then they were asked me to leave as there were a lot of customers were queuing downstairs and, if I had nothing to order, I may have to give in my table to them. It was raining outside, and it is very very cold. I already paid my coffee and brunch, I sat on the corner studying without disturbing anyone, but I was still kicked off by their staff. They gave me the bill including the service fee which I was not sure if it’s mandatory as I didn’t see it when I ordered my coffee. I packed my stuff and went downstairs, there was NO ONE queuing at all, PLUS there were still a few tables available. That’s it, I paid my food, I sat there quietly, it’s winter and raining outside, but I was still being “asked” to leave. This is the worst experience that I had in London, or I should say, in this country. I rarely leave a low start comment unless I felt like not being respectful. I will never ever visited there again, and if you are planning to go, think about it carefully. I am very angry and upset about this experience, I am very glad to leave this comment on their every social media so that people could see how they treated their customers."
