"This restaurant was recommended to us by one of our friend based on the Netflix TV-show. And I am absolutely happy that we followed those recommendations. This place is just amazing it terms of service, food, drinks, view and surrounding atmosphere. small snacks including the Portuguese cheese, olive and carrot marinated in garlic olive oil. For the starter we order fried calamari even though I am not a fan of deep fried finger food, but in Rei das Praias its smth different. It is not the common deep fried calamari but instead its gently fried with garlic, parsley and lemon flavor which makes them tender and absolutely delicious. I even tried to reproduce the same recipe at home but of course it was way to far from the original version :D For the main meal we decided to order Arroz de Marisco (seafood rice). In the menu it is mentioned that it is recommended for two people in reality you can easily share it for four. In fact we were not able to finish half of it as we had snacks and starter before, so be ready. Huge portion, a lot of seafood, served in pot and of course super delicious. So if you are traveling in Algarve stop by at Rei das Praias for lunch/dinner or just for drink and enjoy the scenery, beach, ocean and atmosphere."
