"Was here in August with friends and family. Food was brillant, I dare say 5 pluds, service to die for. All staff paid attention to detail. Perhaps this was because my friend made the reservation, is a premium customer that orders regularly and the restaurant makes deliveries even though that was not their custom.... get my drift?Fast forward to October, I made the reservation as it was my birthday. Service was good but no way what we experienced in August. Food, just okish. Given this, I am inclined to agree with other reviewers that the food is overpriced.There has been no change in management. Given this, will definitely not be returning.Consistency is EVERYTHING!"

"I have eaten sushi in many places and know practically all providers in basel - but these sushi are the best, freshest - just yummie! The local is rather inconspicuous of outside, inside rather bald, but which looks very authentic and at the same time guides the focus on eating.The personal is very friendly, nice, talkative - you feel absolutely comfortable.The selection of sushi is very large. you can put together recommended mix teller, as well as individual maki, nigiri etc. If a par donburi (warms) is offered. While we had to wait one for the food, we were able to convince ourselves that every sushi is absolutely freshly prepared.It was incredibly delicious!!! We even had to reorder because we couldn't get enough... that probably says everything... Definitely the best sushi restaurant in basel!"

"Great place, huge portions, friendly (Hungarian) staff and always a few jokes or kind words what you get here. We eat here a lot, usually for lunch and it's fair to say you don't have to wait for long to get your food. They offer take away and you can dine in as well, although outside there are not many seats (2 at a table). Highly recommended, the food is great, although not that authentic, more European flavours, which for me is a plus."

"Cafe Streuli is located at the end of Tram line #15/16 Bruderholz. There are walking trails and a park nearby. This cafe with friendly staff is here to take care of all your needs. There is a great selection of fresh breads, pastries, cakes, chocolates, sweets/snacks and more. There are no milk substitute products on the menu. Everything looked mouth-watering good. I opted for the plum dessert, which was a nice serving size and a cup of tea. The place does a very good take out business. There is a postal drop service, clean restrooms, newspapers, magazines. and more that await you here at this lovely place"

"The food is very tasteful and I can see it was a very old and traditional place. But the woman who serviced us was really in a bad mood I guess, we felt even scary to order and ask. All the other people there are really nice and friendly. We ordered 3 portions Fondue for 4 girls and 1 extra cheese plate. It is also pretty enough. The food is expensive but in a acceptable range, plus another bottle of water we spent 145 for 4 people."

"Was here with friends for a spontaneous dinner. Really nice interior, great staff and delicious food. A refreshing athmosphere, definitely a goto-place. Dishes could be a little bigger, but still reasonable for the price. Can recommend the schnitzel!"
