"Until recently, I was a regular customer at Singapore Garden. My family and I have frequented this restaurant for over 15 years, but the abysmal customer service and substandard food quality has entirely put me off. Our small group arrived to the empty Singapore Garden...to celebrate a birthday. A surly waitress took our order, but she was too impatient to wait for us decide, so we ordered a spring roll. Two or three other groups arrived long after we ordered, but 25 minutes later no one came to take our order. One of the customers even called the front desk on his cellphone to remind the waitress that we were indeed still in the restaurant, still hungry, and still waiting for our order to be taken. The waitress was extremely rude to this customer and said she will serve their table last. After having waited 45 minutes for someone to take our order, we decided to leave. Our order came out, sopping in grease and considerably undercooked. We had our coats and were ready to leave, but the waitress insisted we pay for the meal. Disgusting. I will not return again. No wonder this place is always empty. Also, have you seen the hookers at the HoJo next door? Simply unappetizing."

"This place never fails to satisfy. The meals are prepared right in front of you, they are hot off the grill and taste utterly fantastic. I really don't mind the cafeteria style, there are always lots of places to sit with big tables in case...you need to do some business as well. The portions are huge and the Naan bread is utterly fantastic. Great portions and great prices. Have the tandoori special, you will not be disappointed!!"

"Food is pretty good. I ask for the home fries to be done extra well or I feel they are soggy. Price is decent and the seats are comfortable. Would definitely take someone here for some breakfast if I needed to."

"Dre: another meal at Pickle Barrel. I'm really starting to like their gigantic salads, so I got the Luau Chicken Salad Mixed greens, bell peppers, cucumber, carrots, scallions, almonds, avocado, pineapple, orange, honey drizzled sesame wontons, citrus vinaigrette. I loved the abundance of avocados."

"This is a huge restaurant serving only vegetarian options. On one side it is a buffet and on the other there's sweets, and quick service meals a La carte menu. There is also a live pan demonstration booth in between.<br/ <br/ It would be ideal if they had more seating options for quick meals as there seem to be a lot of customers waiting. Those waiting for buffet also lounge here as well.<br/ <br/ Food:<br/ <br/ Pani Puri not bad, the potatoes were a little under seasoned but it wasn't bad<br/ <br/ Dahi Barhrey it was good, they need to put more Tamrind sauce but it was good<br/ <br/ Puri /Channey (breakfast) this was also really good. I wasn't too particularly fond of the carrots and green pepper they serve with it but the chickpeas were seasoned well and this was filling<br/ <br/ Samosa delicious.<br/ <br/ Masala Chai really good too.<br/ <br/ They food arrived hit and quick, the servers were checking up often!"

"Shy Lounge lost a star because: The claimed to be open at 11am on a Thursday but weren?t. Called with no answer (and their answering machine needs setting up too), went there around 11:15 and they were still closed. On a whim called at 11:45am and they were open. Must be part of the ?authentic Caribbean experience? being on island time and all. Anyway, the food was delicious. We ordered: Cassava balls Egg balls Poulorie Special Fried rice. The cassava balls and egg balls were delicious. Outside crispy like home made. Poulorie tastes like its got peas in it. We got some delicious mango (so green its white) sour to go with it. The Fried Rice was fresh and delicious but not ?Guyanese Chinese?. More like a neighbourhood creole shop. Lots of fresh vegetables: bora, cabbage and carrots, no corn. Great colour and texture though. Unfortunately they dont cook pork. They are halaal though. Prices are reasonable but $2.50 for an eggball is too much. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends."
