"So we bought a groupon deal for this restaurant and we are glad we did it. immediately after the entry we were greeted and all those with whom we had interaction were very friendly. the food was incredible (the pfefferkornsauce was beautiful) and the steaks were simply so cooked. we've both been kind of dessert. the only critique (if it is even a critique) is that the place a bit on the small size, but it was cozy and well designed. we will definitely return a day!"

"We had to take our car for a quick repair job and had an hour to spend in Portslade. With two children and a dog on a very hot day, we needed some breakfast and a drinks. This little cafe was the closest. I wasn 't impressed by the outside, it didn 't look very nice but we only had an hour and we were all hungry. What a delight it was to find the food was far excelled the 'Greasy Spoon ' exterior. It catered for vegetarians, vegans, coeliacs and had gluten free options as well as the normal bacon sandwich. Even their website doesn 't do it justice. The food was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. The prices were so good that I 'm going to go out of my way (by 60 miles or so) just to try a different dish next time.Even the children really enjoyed their food. If you ever stop in Portslade, near Brighton then give this cafe a go."
